Assimilation & Family Development
A Place To Belong
From first visit to a deeply connected church family.
Assimilation and Family Development is one of the five purposes of our church family. Our ultimate goal is to raise people who are committed to Christ and to one another.
The ministry brings together two connected systems: Assimilation and the Life Group System. Together, they help first-time guests become active members who are known, cared for, discipled, and rooted in a loving spiritual family.

Assimilation System
We receive first-time guests, process their information, follow up through calls, messages, and visits, and connect each person to a Life Group where deeper family relationships can grow.

Life Group System
Life Groups are small communities where people do life together, express our culture of family at an intimate level, grow as disciples, and carry the message of the Kingdom into their communities.

The follow-up team, Area Pastors, and Life Group leaders work together so every person can be seen, supported, and actively involved.

Welcome
Receive first-time guests and identify members who are not yet connected to a Life Group.

Follow Up
Process contact details, make calls, send messages, and arrange personal visits where needed.

Connect
Match each person to an Area Pastor and Life Group leader based on location and supplied information.

Grow
Encourage FDA participation, monitor involvement, and support every member toward active family life.
The Heartbeat Of Our Family
We are not a church with Life Groups. We are a church of Life Groups.
A Life Group is a small group of people who do life together, express our culture of family at a deeper level, and affect their community with the Kingdom message. It is the engine room of family development.
- Common calendar: groups formed around meeting days.
- Common concerns: groups formed around related needs.
- Spheres of influence: groups formed around professions, interests, age groups, or purpose.
Healthy Life Groups
Family, intimacy, mission, and spiritual growth.
Belonging
Members find family and intimacy by meeting regularly and doing life together.
Pastoral Care
People are known, supported, prayed for, and strengthened through genuine relationships.
Mission
Groups reach their neighbourhoods with compassion and the message of the Kingdom.
Multiplication
Healthy groups grow, form sub-groups, and mature into new Life Groups.

Practical environments where members understand our culture, prepare for healthy relationships, and build families that flourish across generations.

Firm Development Academy
FDA takes members through our cultures, belief systems, and values so they can function effectively within the church family. The school runs from 100 level to 400 level, with AFD administering the 100-level class and supporting graduation.

Love & Life Marriage School
Through sound teaching, prayer, mentorship, and practical experience, the school nurtures godly families through premarital classes, marriage classes for intending couples, and post-marriage conclaves.

Family Development Trainings
Men of Honour, Women Engineering Change, and Firm Builders International hold quarterly training to strengthen godly relationships, stop unhealthy marriage patterns, and build robust families.
